Fire Marshal Dragon clearing brush above the Malibu coastline
Episode 5

Fire Marshal Dragon Clears the Brush

Malibu Girl admires a perfect canyon view. Fire Marshal Dragon lands beside her with a rake, a map, and the ancient coastal commandment: beautiful landscaping must not become kindling.

Red-flag chapter

The beach is calm. The hills are not joking.

Episode 5 turns brush clearance and evacuation planning into MalibuDaily comedy, but the core point stays serious: Malibu’s beauty comes with canyon wind, dry fuel, narrow roads, and fire-season responsibility.

Episode summary

After surviving Permit Goblin, Malibu Girl thinks the hard part is over. Then the sky turns gold, the wind shifts, and Fire Marshal Dragon descends from the canyon with a clipboard made of smoke.

He does not roar at the ocean. He roars at dead brush, blocked driveways, overgrown slopes, confused guests, and anyone who says, “We will figure out evacuation later.”

Malibu Girl: “But the view is so peaceful.”

Fire Marshal Dragon: “Peaceful is not the same as prepared.”

The lesson

Fire Marshal Dragon is not the villain. He is the loud guardian of defensible space, visible access, clear routes, trimmed vegetation, real alerts, and decisions made before the road becomes a parking lot.

Canyon discipline

Fire Marshal Dragon does not ruin the view. He protects the exit.

In Malibu, fire prep is part of coastal living. The canyon, the road, the wind, the slope, the brush, and the driveway all matter when conditions change.

The Dragon’s rule is simple: do the boring safety work while the sky is blue, because red-flag days do not wait for anyone to find the checklist.
